In choosing a city to visit in early December, we agreed that it had to be 'Christmassy'. And Bergen, the winter wonderland in the south of Norway, fit the bill perfectly.
The short days were spent ticking off all the boxes - cruising the fjords, riding the funicular, exploring the cute streets and trying to find the best views of the pastel hued city. Our afternoons and evenings were spent indoors with provisions from the grocery store watching reruns of Friends to the soundtrack of the rain pelting on the window. It was cosy, it was peaceful and it was endlessly beautiful.
